Mirror sunglasses are sunglasses that have a reflective optical coating that’s called a mirror or a flash coating on the outside of the lenses to make the sunglasses look like mirrors. The mirrored lenses usually make the wearer see through a brown or grey tint. This mirror coating blocks the amount of light that gets through the tinted lens by 10–60%, making it very useful for blocking glare from sand, water, snow, and conditions at higher altitude.
